How Does It Work?

A Real, Private Lesson

Cloud Piano Studio lessons are completely remote piano lessons. We work on new music, technique, reading, aural skills, theory, and everything else musical that you would learn in a traditional in-person lesson. Practically everything we can do in person, we can do remotely — you'll soon forget that we are in two different places.

You Have Everything You Need

You probably already have everything you need to get started taking private lessons online: a computer or tablet, a piano, and an internet connection. The tools I use let you see multiple camera angles, virtual whiteboards, onscreen notation, and much more.

Lessons, Wherever You Are

Lessons happen in the comfort of your own home. Or in the Swiss Alps. Or Hawaii. Anywhere you have an internet connection and a keyboard, you can take your lesson — no commute, no rush-hour traffic, no driving in the rain or snow. Less stress means more productive lessons and more progress.

Why Remote

The Studio in the Cloud

Entirely remote means:

  • Learn in your home. There is no commute, no traffic, and no waiting rooms. Sick days are more rare. Plus, you get to use the instrument you're most used to playing, which means no time spent adjusting to the teacher's piano.
  • Warm up and practice immediately. You can practice up until seconds before your lesson, and after your lesson ends, instantly reinforce everything you've learned without a drive home to interrupt your success.
  • Focus and responsibility. Online lessons push students to take more ownership of their lessons — leading to faster progress and more involved learning.
